Peter Dare is a unique Australian Artist and Cartoonist best known as creator of the KoolRoo cartoon strip.

After many years as a black and white cartoonist Peter relishes in the use of vibrant colour in his paintings. 

His work looks at Australian lifestyle, environment, wildlife and humour. He focuses on light, bright, suggestive subject matter with a touch of satirical slant on life which is where the ever present mind of a cartoonist shows through.
The bold use of strong, rich colour gives his paintings a presence and enables them to command and introduce life into their environment.
